Florida Engineering SocietyScholarships

TheFlorida Engineering Society, an organization of approximately 3,800 engineerspracticing throughout the state of Florida, is pleased to offer a scholarshipprogram for graduating seniors interested in pursuing engineering careers. Friendsof 440 Scholarship Fund

The purpose of Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund is to aid dependents ofworkers who are injured in the course and scope of their employment and receivebenefits under the Florida Workers' Compensation Law and who reside or whoseaccident occurred in the State of Florida. This scholarship is intended to aidstudents who lack the economic ability to continue education beyond high schoolor to further their college education. Applications must be submitted prior toFebruary 28th of the year the scholarship is to be awarded.

 

Grade Point Average

High school applicants must have a 2.70 GPA; college applicants musthave a cumulative 3.0 GPA to apply. All applicants must maintain a 3.0 GPA forall renewals of the scholarship. The scholarship is not available for studentsattending graduate school.

Papers can be on any topic and from students worldwide.
Technical papers presented from June 1, 2011 through May 31, 2012 are
eligible for the award.

This award, inaugurated in1998, is based on the technical papers presented during the preceding year andis administered by the Myers Award Board under the auspices of the EngineeringEducation Board. The award consists of an attractive memento as well as a$4,000 monetary gift.

Offersa variety of merit-based academic scholarships ranging from $500 per year up to full tuition and fees. Florida Southern College   

Inorder to be considered, students must be Florida residents. Some scholarships requireinterviews, while the majority does not. Morethan half of the awards and scholarships have a 3.0 or higher GPA requirement.They are all given to freshman. MiamiDade College Scholarships   

 

Miami-Dade College is pleased to announce the availability of Scholarships for the 2010-2011 academic year.  Various Scholarships from numerous donors are available to students who attend Miami-Dade College.  The Scholarships vary in amounts and requirements, depending on the particular scholarship programs.  Interested students are encouraged to complete and submit the Scholarship application on-line, and submit all additional "requested" supporting documentation to the Campus Scholarship Coordinators.

Minimum Eligibility for Scholarship Consideration

  • Completion and submission of Scholarship Application
  • Submission of all required supporting documentation
  • Students must be admitted to Miami-Dade College
  • Student must have completed a Federal Financial Aid Application for 2003-2004

All freshman students completing their entire application by February15 are guaranteed scholarships if they are admitted.  Pleaseencourage your interested students to complete their application as soon aspossible while we have the most space and funding available. Unfortunately, each year we have to turn away many talented students who applylate. 

Universityof North Florida Scholarship Opportunities   

Seniors whoplan to attend the University of North Florida and meetrequired SAT and/or ACT scores and GPA. Students are automatically consideredfor all merit-based scholarships.
