  ESL I

-     Learn classroom items(34) say, listen and repeat

      -     Finish with numbers for the first week and test.

-          Use each word in a sentence using…. There is, No, there is not….

-          Write basic conversation and practice saying

-          Learn classroom actions and say, listen and do the action told to you

-          Do pg 2 of packet and check together

-          Start the poem for the school and read, speak, repeat many times

-          Read poem on your own after a few days practice

-          Start colors and use in sentences

-          Then use pg 12-13 in the black picture dictionary for prepositions.

-          Use the poster and repeat, listen and write.

-          Create a poster using examples of prepositions, use a map of USA which states are above, next to, under N.C. etc.

 

ESL II –

Finish first week with mood and context clues

-Start pg 40 in High Point. Copy voc. words. Complete the chart

  pg 40

-How to make comparisons using the Venn Diagram.

-Read and listen to the CD 2 stories on pg 41

-Teach the article An

-Teach present tense verbs/subject verbs agreement

-Make a Venn Diagram for the 2 stories then write how the 2

  stories are alike and different.

-Do the “Think It Over”questions

-Go over and create a never ending story.

-Teach sequencing and create a situation where you need

sequencing.  Create a cartoon and draw the sequence with the

captions.

-Read the Fat Man from Outer Space and answer questions

-Write a science fiction paper(5 paragraghs)
