Tuesday: Nov. 17th: American History: study for exam over Ch.4 World Geography: finish p. 248 & 276, if needed World History: Create a timeline of the important events that occured during the time of Ancient China. Wednesday: Nov.18th: American History: study for exam Humanities: begin the construction of your truimphal arch, due on Nov. 24th. World History: Create a timeline of the important events that occured during the time of Ancient China. Finish vocabulary, if needed. Thursday Nov. 19th: American History: Explain the importance of the following terms: Stamp Act, Tea Act, 'taxation without represention', Sons of Liberty, Boston Massacre, Crispus Attucks, Boston Tea Party, Intolerable Acts, Loyalist, Patriot, propaganda, Paul Revere- as they relate to Chapter 5. Due Monday. World Geography: Work on open book test. Due at the end of the period on Monday. World History: p. 227, "The Way it Was", questions 1, 2, then p. 231 #2-6. Due Monday. History Fair Chart: Oct. 27th/28th Topic and rough thesis: Nov. 30th/Dec. 1st
Revision of the Historical Context Chart- Dec. 10th/11th
Rough annotated bibliography (list of at least 7 sources- 2 of which are books)- Dec 7th/8th Please make sure that you note the difference between primary and secondary sources
Final Thesis statement: Jan. 7th /8th
Notes and/or rough draft of paper: 1st check: Dec. 17th/18th 2nd check: Jan. 11th/12th 3rd check: Feb. 8th/9th It is expected that progress is made for each date.
Second check of sources: Jan. 14th/15th (for this check, there should be at least 12 sources, 4 of which are books)
Rough draft of process paper or research paper: Jan. 27th/ 28th
Final project due: Feb. 17th- all projects to be turned in on that date, no matter if I see you in class that date or not!!!
The district History Fair will be in mid-March, the date will be announced later.
If you have any questions concerning due dates, or anything else, please ask! You cannot change your topic after Christmas break.
DO NOT PROCRASTINATE !!! Keep this timeline of due dates in a safe place, and look at it constantly! Remember every date is entered in as an assignment counting towards your grade, do not miss a due date!!!
Also please remember that no late work will be accepted unless it is due to an excused absence.
