Welcome to Drama class!

Our daily lessons are various performance and team working skills. We are always up on our feet rehearsing and playing games that help with concentration, memorization skills, and getting comfortable in front of an audience, their peers.

8th graders will have a few long-term class projects this year. They will be making their own foam puppets and writing their own puppet show scripts. They will also perform group lip syncs and will perform a Christmas themed show in collaboration with our school orchestra, December 3, 2009, in the gym.

7th graders are working on writing, directing, filming, and producing their own commercials for our partners in education and will be seen on our morning announcements. They will also perform group lip syncs and perfrom short scripted 10 minute plays.

6th graders will learn all the basics of Drama class. There will be several in class assignments that will pertain to them being up in front of their peers and learning how to be confident when speaking and presenting. They are currently working on buliding impromtu puppets made from household items.
