What is Reading Recovery? Reading Recovery is a wonderful, one-on-one program for struggling 1st grade readers. The Reading Recovery teacher works closely with the 1st grade teachers to identify these students who need a little extra support. If you child is chosen for Reading Recovery he/she will receive a 30 minute lesson daily with the trained RR teacher for 20 weeks or less depending on progress. These lessons will consist of reading, writing, and word work.
What are Literacy Groups? Literacy groups are also available to struggling readers in 1st-3rd grade.
