Reading-----the children were introduced to the new vocab words for this story---we completed some activities to go along with the vocab words----the students read the Vocab Power in the book and completed the workbook page on the vocab-------NO HW

Math------------we worked on multiplying 9---the children learned a few tricks to help with the 9 facts---HW R5-10 and P5-10---please have your child practice their facts---they will be quizzed on them each day

Social Studies 5th grade------the students discussed the signing of the Declaration of Independence---- test on friday---it will be UNIT 4 ---LESSONS 1-4----

the children have a project to make a Scrapbook about the Revolutionary War-----the project is DUE on Thursday, February 16

SPELLING BEE

I have passed out the Diocesan Spelling Bee Word Lists today---the children are to practice at home ----on Thursday February 16th they will stay after school for Spelling test----I have 20 students in grades 4-6 who are participating---I will need to narrow it down to 1----Good Luck and Keep Practicing!
