We have been weaving on cardboard looms and inkle looms. Some students chose to do an optional project, a coil basket. The next project is a cartouche of their name in Egyptian hieroglyphs. I"ve already gotten some good projects.
 
We will begin next week with a painting unit - color wheel, color exercises, color scheme, fish painting, Chinese characters and an oriental scroll. These projects will take awhile. We will be using tempera paint which will come out of clothes. Some colors will put up a fight. Just wash it again before you dry it.
