We are now into our 2nd quarter.  In Math we will continue to work with fractions.  The students have already learned to show fractions on a number line, worked with mixed fractions and improper fractions.  We are learning how to find equivalent fractions and what the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) is for two fractions.  We will be working on fractions and decimals in terms of tenths, hundredths, and thousandths.  After developing these skills, your child should be able to solve problems that contain fractions and decimals.

We are finishing our study on weather and landforms this week.  We will begin Cycles in Nature next.
