Welcome New Students

Welcome rising seventh grade students. I am looking forward to a new school year! I believe all of you will find the seventh grade science curriculum to be engaging and relevant with a focus on life. Our class will be activity based allowing for a variety of labs, models, projects, and activity packets. You will work hard, but the work load will be manageable with minimal homework, especially if you utilize class time. In the past, many of my students have struggled with organization. If this is a situation that you have experienced, here are some tips from former students.

“Snap, Crackle, Pop PhilosopPhilosophy/P>

  1. Write directly in your notebook, keeping the papers in your 3-ring binder
  2. Don’t leavDon e classroom until you have popped your work in the binder section of your notebook.
  3. Consider purchasing reinforced paper
  4. Make a committed decision to get organized, and “Make that Change”Change OL>

Committing to the Snap, Crackle, and Pop Philosophy has proven to dramatically improve students’ overall academic grades along with fostering a positive school experience.

Prepare to sing, dance, play your musical instruments, and to participate in a variety of unusual activities. Be sure to take a look at some of our scheduled activities posted on the Glog. I am certain that you will enjoy Science, and I hope to make this year memorable.

    Sincerely,

    Ms. Kellett
