Updated on Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you.  You are such a special group of mothers who give so much to your children!

We have been moving a little faster  than usual.  I am trying to touch on everything they will need for second grade.  I would say that they are keeping up with me and continue to work as they have done all year.  I know other teachers are ready for the summer, but I am am still enjoying teaching.

I have made sure that the children have learned money, time, measurement, and facts up to 18.  I hope to teach fractions and maybe touch on double digit addition.

We are learning all  about the Ascension, Mary's month of May, and all about the Holy Spirit.

In Reading, we are reading many stories and learning many phonetic rules to help them read fluently.

We have talked about Ants, and dinosaurs in Science and have managed to learn about the Rainforests.

**Remember that Track and Field Day is Friday and they should wear their phys. ed. clothes.  If anyone would like to help that day with the class you may sign up.

 ***ART AND BAND CONCERT IS WEDNESDAY!
