Thursday: 3rd, 4th, and 5th periods begin to plan for your Wrinkle in Time Compare and Contrast Essay. You may use your notes from class.

1. Choose 1 topic to compare and contrast i.e. events, settings, characters, etc.

2. Pick at least 3 Major Details for your topic

3. List or State at least 3 supporting details for each major detail

EXAMPLE:

Topic: Events

Major Detail: Finding Mr. Murry

Supporting Details:

He was located in the transparent column in Central Central Intelligence. (similiar)

He was found before Charles Wallace was controlled by IT. (difference)

Mrs. Who's glasses were used in the same way. (similiar)

Monday: 5th Period Only- SAT Vocabulary Project due October 22nd.  We will be having a lesson on citing books, magazines and websites next week.  Save any important information, so you can cite your work.  Parents if you know how, you may help your student.  Citing, MLA format, your work will be a separate grade from the project.  I have placed a citation site in my favorite links!! Tuesday- ALL CLASSES! You have two assignments on Renzulli which are due Thursday. In order for you to access the assignments, your profile has to be complete.  Your Foreign Language or Reading teacher provided you with a log in and password.  Please complete one of the Review for Subjects and Predicate and one of the Parts of Speech assignments.  Some of you have duplicates of the assignment, but you only need to complete a total of two assignments. Once you have accessed both assignments be sure to complete both activities within the assignment.
