Welcome!!

 We  are in the third quarter of this school year, we are working hard in First grade.  We will learn to read and spell our next 25 words.  In reading our stories will be longer passages that we will be retelling with details. In phonics we will work on long vowels and blends to decode words.  Our story writing will continue as we write more sentences with more detail.  In math we will to continue to focus on numbers, counting and working up to 75.  We will continue to add and subtract numbers to 12.  We continue our work with plane and solid shapes as well as working on patterns, and tens and ones.  Daily we read the calendar for math as well. We continue to ask for your help at home and support.  We love these children and want the best for them!!
