Happy New Year!  I hope you all enjoyed the holiday season.  After spending the last couple of months reading longer selections we are now going back to the literature book and reading shorter stories more frequently.  Progress reports will be mailed at the end of this month.  Please check your student's grade and make sure he/she is doing all the work that's required.  Here's what we'll be doing this week in class.  If you have any questions let me know.

Monday:  CW- D.O.L. (daily oral language) Finish academic vocabulary posters.  Turn in Verb packet.                          HW- Reading Log 

Tuesday:  CW- D.O.L. Read Gil's Furniture Bought & Sold  pg. 450.  Handout on story due Wednesday.  HW:  Reading Log

Wednesday:  CW- D.O.L. Grammar packet on verbs.            HW- Reading Log

Thursday:  CW- D.OL.  Read The Old Grandfather and His Little Grandson and The Wise Old Woman pg. 462-472                 HW- Reading Log

Friday:  CW-D.O.L. (turn in today)  Handouts on the two stories read on Thursday.  These are due on Tuesday.        HW:  Reading Log
