Mrs. Knotts' 3rd Grade News Grab a tissue before you read any further. It is hard to believe I am sending out the last SchoolNotes page of the year. I blinked a few times and now it is May. I have enjoyed your precious children in so many ways. Each one has been blessed with special talents from God. We've had so much fun learning and growing together in God's word. Thank you all for making the decision to bring your child to Lakeland and for your countless hours of volunteer work that makes LCA #1. It will be hard to let them go. I will miss all of you!! Blessings for a super summer!! Love, Mrs. Knotts Congratulations are in order for all of my 3rd grade students for mastering their multiplication facts up to the 12 Fact Family! Wednesday, May 23rd we will have a Root Beer Float Party to celebrate this momentous occasion. 2nd grade sponsored Cowboy Church Supply Round-Up For those of you who may not know Cowboy Church (a church in our community) was destroyed by fire this month. It is unfortunate that this has occurred, however; this is a great opportunity for us to serve. At the end of the year, we often have school supplies left over. These leftover supplies could assist the children’s ministry at Cowboy Church. It’s really very easy! If you would like your child’s additional supplies donated to help this church, please contact your child’s teacher. If you are interested in purchasing supplies or have unused supplies at home, please label the items “Cowboy Church” and send them to school with your child. The 2nd grade classrooms will also have bins for donated items. Items needed: crayons, markers, glue sticks, pencils, construction paper, colored pencils Parents, please send me an email if your student will be out any days next week. I am hearing from the students but would like a confirmation from you. Thank you! Reminder -- Afterschool Clubs will not meet the last week of school (May 21-25).
