Eighth Graders Topple Teachers in Dramatic Finish The eighth grade defeated the teachers in their annual volleyball match during Catholic Schools Week. The eighth grade jumped out to huge lead, only to see the teachers storm back when Mr. Berrios scored over ten consecutive points from the service line. However, the eighth graders managed to cling to a narrow lead late in the game to win the match 25-23. The eighth grade was also crowned the school volleyball champions after beating the 6th and 7th grades.

Panthers to Take on St. Pat's in 12th Annual Team Handball Match
On Tuesday, January 31, during the height of Catholic Schools Week, the Academy of Our Lady of Peace will make the short trip to Chatham to take on Saint Patrick School in the annual Team Handball Game which is scheduled for 9 am. The teams will compete for the Passaic River Cup, so named for the river that separates the two communities. Last year's game was the closest in the history of the 12 year series, decided by a single goal in St. Pat's favor. The Panthers have already held several practices and appear poised to take the cup back with them to New Providence this year. Good Luck Panthers!!!
