Dear Viewers,
 This program is a second chance academic program for the students that are having difficulty maintaining their behaviors in the structure of the regular classroom.
Being in this program is a decision made by the SCALE committee after a referral by the classroom teachers. The student is evaluated for a period of time during which their behaviors are monitored and recorded.
Students participating in the program must earn a specific number of points, based on work and behavior, before they are allowed back into their classrooms. The average amount of time spent in SCALE is about forty-five days.
The goal is to help the students alter their behaviors so they can return to their classes without being a disruption to the learning process. The students are given their lessons by their regular teachers who also provide instruction. As the SCALE teacher, also a certified teacher, reinforcement is provided on a daily basis as well as strategies for behavioral changes.
