Middle School Language Arts - Mrs. Orlando
Happy New Year 2009! Week of January 6-9
ALL CLASSES will be spending sometime in the computer lab this week researching a person for the upcoming WOODMAN SPEECH COMPETITION
This year's topic is: A Person Who Has Touched Many Lives
8th grade - will be finishing up Alas, Babylon in the 3rd quarter and return to working in literature books as well as incorporating writing/grammar/and speaking skills while preparing for the speech competition
7th grade - will be reading the novel Bread and Roses, Too
I will be ordering the books from Barnes & Noble and collecting the money for them when they arrive.
We will also be incorporating writing/grammar/and speaking skills while preparing for the speech competition.
6th grade - will be taking notes on public speaking and incorporating writing/grammar/ and speaking skills while preparing for the speech competition
