Dear Parents, This maybe the most hectic time of any school year! Here is our final exam schedule. Tuesday, June 8th---Religion and Math. Please help your child study the review sheet I gave last Monday. We should see high grades since they will have had 2 1/2 weeks to review the material. Wednesday, June 9th---ILA and Spelling Thursday, June 10th---Science Friday, June 11th---Social Studies I will be giving out review sheets for Science and Social Studies this week and beginning to review with the students. However, it will be up to them to keep reviewing until the day of the exam. We are coming to the end of the year, and I have some interesting end of the plans. Reading: We are have broken into small Liturature circle, with each group reading a different story. The students have a schedule of which chapters need to be read and for which job they are responsible. I am hoping that they are keeping up on their own. Of course, I check everyday to see if this is so. Religion: We are learning about the 10 Commandments, and are working on our Old Testament plays. If they are presentable, you will be invited to our performance. Math: As always, we are working on problem-solving, as well as measuments, both standard and metric. Science: We are learning about work and simple machines. Simple Machine test will be on Friday. At the end of the year, I invite students to present a science experiment. Hopefully, we will have some good ideas and presentations. Social Studies: We are learning about goods, services, government services, cultures, and recreation. We will be taking a walking tour of Germantoen Ave. to fing how all of these are a part of our community. More information will be provided a s we get closer to the date. We are very short on supplies. Please send in tissues, paper towels and lined notebook paper. Thanks! |
