News and Information for the Week of June 8, 2009

Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe this is our last week of school! It has been a wonderful year, and the children have grown in so many ways. Their progress in school has been amazing!

We will have 12PM dismissals all week. On Wednesday, we will enjoy Student Appreciation Day. Mrs. VanVliet has divided each of the grade levels into red and blue teams. I told the children on which of the two teams they have been assigned. Children on the blue team should wear mostly blue, while children on the red team should wear mostly red. All children should wear sneakers. Weather permitting, the children will enjoy various relay races on the playground.

Our class parties will be held on Thursday.

Report cards will be distributed to the children on Friday. Included in each report card is a suggested summer reading list and supply lists.

Have a wonderful week!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Shaffer

Dear Parents,

The class mothers are requesting that parents send in beach towels with their children on Thursday. Outdoor activities are being planned for our end of the year class party, and the children will sit on the towels when they are on the grass. Thank you for your cooperation!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Shaffer

Dear Parents,

We had a great Student Appreciation Day! The weather cooperated and the children enjoyed the games. After the games, the children came inside and were treated to hot dogs, potato chips, water and ice cream. Tomorrow we are looking forward to the wonderful class party our class mothers have planned.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Shaffer

Dear Parents,

I would like to thank the class mothers for the wonderful class party we had today. The children enjoyed the craft, the pretzels and hot dogs, and playing with the water balloons. They received beautiful t-shirts, and bookmarks. I thought the picture of the class was very cute! Mrs. Ruela and Mrs. Wiese have worked hard throughout the year to make sure the children had memorable class parties. Thank you again to our class mothers! They have done a great job!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Shaffer
