News and Information for the Week of November 16, 2009 Dear Parents, In religion, we will be learning about the meaning of the Lord's Prayer. Our story in reading is "A Vet." We will be reviewing the short vowel sounds. This week our spelling words are: vet, hog, cat, help, job, pat, small, out, good, and want. In grammar, we will be learning that the days of the week, and months of the year are proper nouns. In math, we will be working with related facts. In science, we will be learning how color helps animals stay safe. In social studies, we will be learning about the first Thanksgiving. Tuesday will be Pizza Day. Have a wonderful week!
