After School Strings Congratulations to the After School Strings classes for an exciting concert on January 12! Second semester beginning classes will be learning songs that put all of our fingers down in different combinations on the A and D strings, and will later be adding the G string! Intermediate classes will be learning techniques such as spiccato, staccato, slurring, and hooked bowing. The advanced class will continue to practice more difficult key signatures and fingering patterns, and will begin to "shift" to higher notes on the strings. Salisbury Junior Strings had wonderful performances at Rowan Public Library and The Salisbury Symphony Guild's Tour of Southern Classics. Winter concerts are approaching quickly.
