Dear Parents,

Is spring really here? As the weather has still been rather chilly and with a little snow on the ground it is hard to believe that it has come. However, the children are ready to spring around and you can feel the anticipation in their bones.

In math we are in the division mode and moving quite quickly. I keep telling them if they know their multiplication they already know their division.

We are learning about the moon and next week we will study the sun. We have checked out what an astronaut needs in space and how they really depend on the multiplicity of equipment to keep them alive.

In English we are developing skills in writing by being able to contrast and compare two items. It takes a lot of reading and thinking to make an adequate comparison.

In art we did some sand painting and they seemed to enjoy it. It took patience and skill and the effects were quite well done.
