The state driver's exam will be given to all students the week of 1/16. Any student taking the test must achieve a grade of 80 or higher in order to pass the exam.  There are 50 questions on the state exam. 

Week of 11/14:  Exercise on GDL laws. Discuss GDL laws. Quiz on GDL laws.  Car Ownership.  Car registration, insurance and inspection. Quiz.

Week of 11/21:  Seat belt sheet.  Seat belt laws.  Quiz.  How signs, signals, and pavement markings control the flow of traffic. Sign activity sheet. Maps and signs review. 

Week of 11/28:  Finish how signs, signals and pavement markings control traffic flow.  How we communicate with other drivers.  Highway/city driving worksheet.

Week of 12/5:  Discuss the differences between highway and city driving.  Review  sheet.  Sharing the road with other users.  Move over law.  Test 1.  Defensive driving worksheet. 

Week of 12/12:  Learn how defensive driving techniques can lower accident rates.  Reaction time test.  Quiz.  Driver emergency worksheet.

Week of 12/19:  Discuss how to respond in an emergency situation.  Point system and penalties.  Test 2.  Bridgewater driving school practice test.  Alcohol worksheet.

Week of 1/9: How drinking, and drugs affect a driver's ability to operate a motor vehicle.  New Jersey state statutes regarding DWI and DUI violations.  Acohol review sheet.  Alcohol movie.  Practice test and review.

The state exam will be given to all students the week after mid term exams.

All students will have access to the on-line driver education course.  There are excellent websites that provide information for both students and parents on this site.
