Music Class Policies

  • Raise your hand and wait to be called on.
  • Be polite and respect others - you know, keep your hands to yourself.
  • Participate in class - sing or play your recorder or contribute to the class discussion.
  • Come to class prepared - bring your grade appropriate supplies (see list below).
  • All written work is to be placed in the plastic drawer with my name on it in the gym .
  • When answering questions, they are to be in complete sentence form .
  • Correct spelling is a MUST.
  • If you are absent from music class it is your responsibility to see me for make-up work BEFORE the next music class.

SUPPLY LIST

Music - Grades 2-8 

ALL CLASSES - Small (1") 3-ring binder / 2 Pocket Folders for Binder / 4 - #2 pencils (mechanical OK) / Pencil pouch (clip-in style for binder / Set of colored pencils (8 minimum) / Classroom planner / All items are required by the first music class

Grades 4 & 5 - Baroque fingered soprano recorder, Recorder Karate Book, & Usborne's First Book of the Recorder (items available through the school - $25.00) (returning 5th Grade students should have these items) / It is not permissible for students to share a recorder or use a hand-me-down from an older student - we all need the same recorder so that we all have the same fingerings - Books & recorders may be purchased from the school music department

EIGHTH GRADE

Class meets Monday morning

First Benchmark for Life Project book due Monday, 2 February -- List of historic events from birth through the year you turned eight years old

SEVENTH GRADE
