Expectations for StudentsEvery Day

1.  Respectful behavior towards the teacher, other students, and themselves.

2.  Come to class prepared to learn:  Every day you need your textbook,

social studies notebook, a writing journal, a pen, a smile, and a positive

    attitude.

3.  Assignments: Must be handed in On Time: Homework assignments will

not be accepted late –unless previously discussed with the teacher.

Research papers will not be accepted more than 1 week late, and will

receive 1 letter grade reduction for every day overdue.

4.  Quizzes and Tests: Any quizzes/tests missed must be made up within 1

week of the original date. It is the responsibility of the student to

make an arrangement for the make up quiz/test.

5.  Attendance: School policy states that students will not receive credit for a

1 year course if absences exceed 22 class periods.  Students tardy for class 3

times will be marked absent for 1 full class. The absence will count towards

the total absences. Each tardy after the initial 3 will receive an

   unexcused absence.

 6.  Students are responsible for notes and assignments missed due to

absence. This means the student is responsible for finding out from

me or the other students any missed work, within 2 days of

   returning to class.

7. Research Papers will only be accepted with proper in-text citations

    and a Works Cited page

8.  No food or drink is allowed in the classroom except Water.

9.  No Electronic Devices are permitted – there are no exceptions.
