Lesson Plans For Jed Lacey - Special Education
Monday 10/26/09 through Friday 10/30/09 1st Block: IEP Goals Objective: The students will be able to demonstrate to the best of their ability, the IEP goals chosen for each student to work on for that day from their Individualized Education Program. Activities: The students will participate in a classroom activity in a group setting, working on their IEP goals. 2nd Block: Arts and Crafts Objective: The students will demonstrate their ability to be creative and learn the enjoyment of expressing themselves through the arts. Activities: The student will participate in classroom activities such as making designs for the classroom to represent each season and working with multiple products for making their creativity come out. 3rd Block: Adapted Physical Education and Community/Social Skills Objective #1: The students will be able to demonstrate their ability to perform life skills so they can have success in their everyday living needs. Objective #2:The students will demonstrate their ability to perform physical activities so they may be able to maintain a healthier life style through physical fitness. Activities: The students will participate in such activities as personal hygienes, laudry, proper eating techniques, independant location walks, and cleaning living areas. These activities will be in and out of a classroom setting. Activities: The students will participate in a Physical Education Class doing physical activities that will take place in the gym. These activities will also include games that will help improve the students fine motor skills. 4th Block: Life and Pre-Vocational Skills Objective: The students will be able to perform skills needed for future employment. Activities: The students will participate in job related activities working with their hands to improve hand and eye coordination and to make the students more marketable in the work field. ______________________________________________________________________ Community Activities Next Trip Friday 10/30/09 3rd Block: Objective: The students will be able to demonstrate their ability to communicate, act, and function properly in a restaurant setting. The students also will be able to demonstrate their ability to go to a store and navigate themselves through the store, finding the things they are looking for successfully while acting appropriately. Activity: The students will be participating in community trips to various locations throughout Dawsonville. This week the students will be going to Burger King on Hwy 53, to continue learning how to function properly out in the community with appropriate behavior in a restaurant setting. The students will be using their picture portfolio's to order their food from the cashier. The students also will be working on their pre-vocational skills by cleaning their tables and eating area when they are finished with their lunches. Activity: The students will be participating in community trips to various locations throughout Dawsonville. This week the students will be going to Dollar General, to learn how to properly act and behave in a Department store setting. The student will be given certain items in the store and will have to locate the item with only 1 prompt. Also the students will work out of their picture portfolios and will have to ask an employee of the store where a certain item is. The students will also have to go to the register and pout all the items they found and bought up on the belt so the cashier can ring up the items. The other students will help bag the items. |
