Welcome to my school notes web page! During the year you will find important information about events occurring in the classroom and school and what your child is currently studying. Please check in on a monthly basis. 

Math

Now is the time to make sure your children are learning their addition and subtraction facts. Start with addition facts and as your child masters one set, put them aside and work on the next, going back occasionally to review. 

Reading

September is about reviewing reading strategies and word decoding. We will also be starting Theme 1, Silly Stories. Please have your child bring in a silly item by Friday September 4th to kick off the new theme! 

Homework

Lucky Listener: Students read a poem related to the story they are studying that week. It must be read ten times and signed or initialed ten times by an adult.

Math: 2 pages, front and back weekly.

Spelling: New criteria assigned quarterly. Words/homework are in their spelling journal.
