February News This month in math we will focus on Time and Money. We will identify different coins, count groups of money and write how much. We will learn to tell time by the hour and half hour.We will continue to count by 2's, 5's and 10's to 100. Reading will have new flashcards for the month (see attachment) and our vocabulary words will be the Days of the Week. Social Studies will feature Groundhog Day, Black History, Valentine's Day, and President's Day. Science will continue the study of Winter. And of course we will clebrate the 100th day of school on February 9th 2010. I can't wait to see those projects! |
