*DISCLAIMER:
All assignments must be written down in class in your agenda. Do not rely on this website as your primary source for getting your homework assignments. Occasionally, the internet goes down and I will not be able to update this website when that happens. You can try calling a classmate if that is the case.
*HOMEWORK POLICY:
If the student does not present the homework on the day it is due, the teacher will stamp the student's agenda with "SCIENCE HOMEWORK NOT COMPLETED". The student may then choose to turn in the completed assignment for 1/2 credit during G hour or right after school that day or the next day. Failure to show the teacher completed homework within a day of when it was due will result in a score of zero for that assignment.
*ABSENT POLICY:
If a student is absent, they are responsible for all of the work they missed while they were out. According to the student handbook, students have "the number of days they were absent plus one" to make up the work they missed. This includes homework, class work, quizzes, tests, and projects.
*TEST RETAKE POLICY:
A student who has shown significant effort to do well by completing all of the work related to the topic of the
test, yet scored below 70%, will have the opportunity to retake the test. This must be done after school within a week of when the test was given back. The new test grade will be averaged with the old, and the new score will be final.
*ASSIGNMENT CHART:
Parents, your child keeps a record of all their grades for science on an assignment chart. This should be in their science folder. Each grade your child gets is recorded on the chart and then the student calculates their term average based on the weight of each assignment every day. For an update on your child's grade, simply ask them to show you the assignment chart.
HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS FOR DECEMBER:
