Mrs. Burrow's Fantastic Fourth Graders
     A Note From

Mrs. Burrow.........

November is upon us, and we are feeling a whirlwind of activity here in fourth grade! So much to do, so little time! So much fun!!

I am truly enjoying this class of fourth graders! Thank you for allowing me to spend my days with your child. I feel truly blessed.

Time to Brag!

My students are writing in complete sentences! They are also studying for spelling tests! I am a very happy teacher :)

Inspirational Quote of the Week

Peephole Boxes

The students seem really excited about the Native American project that is due Nov. 23. Guidelines were sent home last week (Thanks for returning the signed slip!) I am looking forward to seeing the creativity of my students!

Thank you for your cooperation with the veterans day bulletin board! It looks great!

Homework

Please check your child’s planner each afternoon for homework assignments. Your child is responsible for writing down these assignments. We do this as a whole group at the end of the day.

**Reading and Spelling homework receives a grade. We check Math homework together in class. Students receive an “effort” grade on Math.**

What Is Going On in Our Classroom This Week?

Reading: Our guided reading time will be spent reviewing non-fictional material - i.e. Native Americans! We will finish our unit this week. Test on Friday.

Math: We will multiply 2 and 3 digits by 1 digit this week, as well as 2 digits by 2 digits.

Science: Our nutrition unit begins this week and will continue until Christmas. Fourth graders will be rotating between all three teachers to learn about the food we eat and how to make better, healthier food choices.

***My objective as a classroom teacher is to continue to be a critical thinker and a life-long learner, to provide stimulating and enriching learning opportunities, and to provide students with a solid educational foundation..***
