 Mrs. Kelly's News November 9 - 13, 2009 Well, the second quarter is now well underway and we are already busy learning more and more. We started a unit this week in Social Studies about communities. One of the main aspects that we will talk about is how communities can change. This week while you are driving around our community discuss with your child how it has changed since you were their age. Have fun learning together. ----------------------------------------------------- --Report cards will come home on Tuesday. Please sign and return the gray envelope. You may keep the copy of the report card for your records. --We will be out of school on Wednesday to observe the Veterans' Day Holiday. Special thanks to all our parents who are veteran. We are grateful for all you have done for us!! --Your new AR levels and goals were given out at report card conferences. Go ahead and get started on these now. We have a good deal of days off during the second quarter and we don't want this to keep you from reaching your goals. --Remember to sign and return your child's assignment pad each night. -- Children will have an assignment each night. The assignments will be in math, spelling , and math facts. --Thank you for all the items you donated to our classroom. We feel truly blessed to have such generous parents this year. ----------------------------------------------------- Weekly Homework Monday: complete your spelling worksheet; write your math facts 2 times each;bring back library books Tuesday: Put all spelling words in ABC order; sign and return report card envelope; work on Math Stars Wednesday: Choose 6 spelling words and write a good asking sentence with each of them; put you math facts into fact families; No School today Thursday: Study for your tests  |
