First Grade News Mrs. Hogge's Class October It is really hard to believe that we have been in school almost 9 weeks. October 28 is the end of our first 9 weeks of school together. Students have been working hard in all areas and are progressing nicely through the first grade curriculum. I am looking forward to meeting with each student's parents for the 1st report card conference. The conferences are scheduled for the week of Oct. 31- Nov.4. A note will be coming home with your child this week with your conference time on it. Please call me if your time needs to be changed. This conference is required so please make every effort to be at the conference and on time. I have conferences scheduled every 20 minutes so if you are late, we will have to reschedule your time. Please look over your child's work that comes home on Fridays and review any skills at home that you see your child is weak in. Also remember to read every night with your child and record the books read in the Reading Log. A quarterly goal has been set and every child wants to meet the goal and enjoy the rewards!
