WELCOME TO MISS BAKER'S WEBPAGE

           Spanish III students will be continuing to learn about Las Ruinas (The Ruins), and talking about the Mayan Civilization with the newly-learned pluperfect tense.  Spanish I students are beginning a new chapter, La Familia (The Family).  We'll be learning new family vocabulary and using it to interview others in class about their families.  We will also be going to the culinary department one day to cook some of the Spanish food we learned about last chapter.  All Spanish I students must bring in $3 in order to participate in the workshop.  This week, we will be making family trees- so start collecting pictures and researching your own family history!

           Spanish III Honors students have begun a unit on professions, jobs, and careers.  We will be learning important life skills such as resume writing, interview procedures and conducting a job search.  The lesson will culminate in our common task, writing a cover letter in Spanish, and in interview skits/presentations.  Won't your future employers be impressed that you are able to answer their questions and serve their clients in Spanish!!

          I update this website at least once per week and students and parents can expect to find homework assignments, due dates, test/quiz dates, important notices/information, and ways to keep up the good work at home!  If you have any questions or concerns during the year please contact me at jbaker@cpsed.net.
