           Spanish III students will be starting a unit on communication this week.  We will be discussing the differences between Spanish and American modes of communication and predicting what they will be like in the future.  At the end of the week, students will write a letter that will be sent to Spain- so start brainstorming ideas of what you would want to ask a Spaniard!  Spanish I students had so much fun at culinary this week!  We made tortillas de patata (potato omelettes) and churros con chocolate.  I think we have some future chefs in the group!  At the beginning of the week, we will be finishing our unit on family and handing in our family trees, and students will be given their common task.  Then, we will be starting a unit on Spanish clothes and fashion.  Also, just a reminder that ALL students should make up any work from third quarter before February vacation or it becomes a ZERO!

           Spanish III Honors students have begun a unit on professions, jobs, and careers.  We will   be learning important life skills such as resume writing, interview procedures and conducting a job search.  The lesson will culminate in our common task, writing a cover letter in Spanish, and in interview skits/presentations.  Won't your future employers be impressed that you are able to answer their questions and serve their clients in Spanish!!
