Welcome to my SchoolNotes page. I am very happy that you are visiting. We have successfully completed our first semester of school and have celebrated the achievement of our second quarter behavior goals with our Movie Day on Friday. The students worked very hard last quarter to achieve their goals and really seemed to enjoy the movies.
We have a few important dates to make you aware of for the month of February. Report cards are scheduled to go home on Tueaday, February 2. Our class pictures are now rescheduled for Wednesday, February 3. Our first grade classes will be visiting Horizons on either Thursday February 4 or Friday, February 5. Check your child's agenda to see which day they attend. Our Honor Roll treat for grades 3-5 will be Friday, February 5 at 9:00 in the cafeteria. The PTA will be providing donuts and milk for their treat. We had over 150 students achieve the A or A/B honor roll!! The RSSS Spelling Bee will be at RCCC at 6:00. 2nd and 3rd graders will have their Body Mass Index computed on Wednesday, February 17. This consists of the height and weight being checked. Thursday, February 18 is our Chick Fil A night in Salisbury. On Friday, February 19, Mrs. Frick's 5th grade class will be sponsoring a dance for all students in grades 3-5. We will have a DJ, pizza and drinks and all of that is included in a $5.00 entrance price. Other snacks will be available for sale. The proceeds of this dance will be donated to the Red Cross for the Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund. On Wednesday, February 24, we will send home progress reports for the first half of the third quarter. We have a lot of events occurring during this month. Please note also that the make up day for Monday, January 25 will be Monday, February 15. I will update you to let you know when the other make up days will occur. Enjoy your month and think warm thoughts! Jenny White, Principal |
