February News February 12th - Valentine's Day Celebration and Science Fair February 15th - Make-up day for lost Snow Days Reading: This month we will continue our focus on the reading comprehension skill of making inferences. Math: We will continue our year long focus on story problem strategies while we take a look at fractions and geometry. Writing: Students are busy working on their animal reports that are due February 12th. Up next for the students will be writing a biography about a famous North Carolinian. Science: This month is the annual Science Fair, February 12th. Students will be working and learning about the scientific process. Social Studies: We have been working hard on our current social studies project learning about the American Revolution and the early stages of North Carolina's history. |
