2009-2010 LIBRARY NEWS

Dear Aquinas Academy Families:

As the school librarian, my job is to help create lifelong learners and to promote literature appreciation in a welcoming and safe atmosphere.

The library is open to all students each morning beginning at 7:45 am to 8:20 am.  During this time, students are encouraged to use the library computer workstations to access AR quizzes, POWER Library (research database), and First in Math.  The library is often used for book exchange, studying or quiet reading in the mornings before the start of homeroom.

Each grade level visits the library at least once during a six day cycle and all students are encouraged to use the library whenever necessary throughout each day.

Upcoming Events:

Westmoreland Interscholastic Reading Competition

March 9, 2010 at Seton Hill University

All participating students must bring a bagged lunch and drink.
