As part of the Book Program for grade 8 English...

All classes have the Take Home Reading Program (THRP)-read 10 minutes every night. Signed form due every Friday!

A book review will be due the last school day of every month. It is important to bring your silent reading book to class daily and home each night so that you finish the book at the end of every month. 

The Book Review for the month of October will be due on Friday, October 29th!

• Students worked this week on coming up with ideas to write their very own Children's Book based on the Halloween/Fall theme.  The rough drafts of these books are due Oct. 22nd and the final copies are due Oct. 25th. Students will be given some time to work on these in class or after school on Monday or Wednesdays with me. Students should also be spending time working on these at home. The first 50 students to show me their book and get it approved will be attending a fieldtrip on Oct. 29th to Cumberland Hill Elementary School to read their books to the elementary students.
