Students should be reading every night at home.  Make sure to read your book 2-3 times, ask questions about the book, and make real world connections to help with comprehension.  Every child has a set of reading cards to assist them with questions.  Students should also be practicing addition and subtraction math facts every night.  In second grade, students are expected to have these facts memorized.  Flash cards are an excellent way to learn these math facts!

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me by email or school telephone.

Thanks so much,

C. Lentz
