Feel free to stop by the classroom and check out a textbook if needed. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tuesday 2/7/12 (A-Day) SPANISH II: 2nd block: Blue text, p. 80, A's: 13, 14 & 15. 4th block: Long form of Possessive Adjectives & Pronouns. Do Activities 5 & 6 on p. 108 & 109 of brown text. SPANISH I: Blue text, p. 108, A: 12 on 'Adverbs of Frequency'. Monday 2/6/12 SPANISH II 1st block: Gramática: Reflexive Verbs, worksheet from Más Práctica, p.46. SPANISH III 2nd & 3rd block: Possessive Adjectives & Pronouns, brown text, p. 108, 109 Activities 5 & 6. SPANISH I 4th block: Wednesday 2/1/12 SPANISH II 2nd/4th block: Lesson on Reflexive verbs was presented. All work was in class-no homework. SPANISH I: All in class work-No Homework- Monday 1/30/12 SPANISH II 2nd/4th block: Lesson on Diminutive & Perjorative was presented. Please do 6 of each for a total of 24. SPANISH I: All in class work-No Homework- Thursday 1/26/12 SPANISH II 2nd block: Students had music rehearsal this morning; the Spanish class today was abbreviated. We did an extra credit worksheet detailing facial features...no homework. See me for worksheet, please. 4th block: We practiced our numbers through 100, making note of the differences between 'veintiuno' vs 'veintiun' vs 'veintiuna'...We used playing cards in groups...no homework. SPANISH I: Presentation of conjugation of verbs ending in 'ar'. Homework: Activities p.105 # 7, p. 106 # 8. Friday 1/20/12 SPANISH II 1st block: Answer 'que piensas' and 'comprendiste' on p. 89 of brown text- SPANISH III (2nd/3rd Block) Thursday 1/19/12 SPANISH II 2nd/4th block: did not meet today-no homework. Enjoy the weekend-will see you Tuesday. SPANISH I: 3rd block-will not meet today-no homework-enjoy the weekend. Wednesday 1/18/12 SPANISH II 1st block: Lesson on demonstrative adjectives & pronouns was given. Text assignment, p. 83, activities 9 & 10 and worksheet handed out in class. SPANISH III (2nd/3rd Block) 'Lectura' on p. 88 & 89 of brown text. Please answer the 'comprendiste' questions on p. 89. Also, complete the worksheet on 'demonstrative adjectives & pronouns' handed out in class. SPANISH I (4th Block) No homework-we will begin with Unit II, Etapa I next time. Tuesday 1/17/12 SPANISH II 2nd block: Lesson on demonstrative adjectives & pronouns was given. Text assignment, p. 83, activities 9 & 10 and worksheet handed out in class. Wednesday 1/11/12 SPANISH II 1st block: Finish conjugation of stem-changing verbs presented in class (see as reference, brown text, p. 84). Also work on worksheet, MP, p. 39. 4th block: Finish conjugation of stem-changing verbs presented in class (see as reference, brown text, p. 84). Also, work on text activities 12 & 13 on p. 85. SPANISH I (2nd Block) Please continue to work on your Family Poster, which is due next class time. In addition, remember to study for exam on Friday. As a study-guide, please work on the optional activities 1 thru 5 on pages 88 and 89 of blue text. Monday 1/9/12 SPANISH II 1st & 4th block: Answer activities 12 & 13 on p. 85 of brown text (conjugation in the preterite of stem changing verbs). SPANISH I (2nd Block) Please continue to work on your Family Poster. Thursday 1/5/2012 SPANISH II 1st & 4th block: Answer 'Comprendiste' questions on p. 67. SPANISH I (2nd Block) Homework: blue text, p. 78 & 79, Activities 10, 11 on possession. Also, bring photographs of your family for poster. Add Activity 13 on p. 81. Tuesday 1/3/2012 SPANISH II 1st block: reviewed 'telling time'. Assigned p. 15, A's 18, 19. Also, worksheet p. 46. 4th block: Work-day, please finish A's 6, 7, p. 153, brown text. Also finish worksheet, p. 61 from workbook, level 2. In addition, finish A's 5, 6, 7 on p. 58 & 59 of brown text. SPANISH I (2nd Block) Homework: blue text, p. 78 & 79, Activities 10, 11 on possession. Also, bring photographs of your family for poster. THUR. 12/15/2011 SPANISH II (1st/4th Block) Homework: brown text, p. 58, Activities 5 & 6 on stem-changing verbs. Also conjugation of verbs presented in class (in the present tense). SPANISH I (2nd Block) Homework: blue text, p. 76 & 77, Activities 6 & 7 on conjugation of 'tener'. Also, bring photographs of your family for poster. WED. 12/14/11 SPANISH II (1st Block) Homework: brown text, p. 58, Activities 5 & 6 on stem-changing verbs. Also conjugation of verbs presented in class (in the present tense). SPANISH III (2nd/3rd Block) 'Lectura' on p. 66 & 67 of brown text. Please answer the 'comprendiste' questions on p. 67. Also, conjugate the stem-changing verbs presented in class. For this, use as reference p. 58, brown text. SPANISH I (4th Block) On the 'Te Presento a mi familia' chapter. Do activities 1 & 2 on p. 88. TU. 12/13/11 SPANISH II (1st/4th Block) Lesson on direct object pronouns was reviewed, then time was allowed to finish activities 6 & 7 on p. 153 of brown text. Más Práctica worksheet on this concept was also handed out, p. 61 (level 2 workbook). SPANISH I (2nd Block) No Homework. FRI. 12/9/11 SPANISH II (1st/4th Block) 1st block: lesson on direct object pronouns was reviewed, then time was allowed to finish activities 6 & 7 on p. 153 of brown text. SPANISH I (2nd Block) Today we continued with the introduction of the new chapter on 'La Familia', U1,E3. Please do the activities 1 thru 5 on pages 74 & 75 of blue text. MON. 12/5/11 SPANISH II (1st Block) Today we finished our discussion on the conjugation form of 'the imperfect'. We finished and turned in activities 11 & 12 from the brown text, p. 113. Also we assigned a worksheet (MP, p. 47) which reenforces the concept of the imperfect tense. SPANISH I (2nd Block) Today we tested on Unit I, Etapa (chapter) 2. We also started our next chapter on 'La Familia'. First task (to be continued in class next time): define the key words in blue, pages 70-71. WED. 11/30/11 SPANISH I Today we had an exam on U1, E2. No homework assigned. On Friday we'll begin E3. SPANISH II Homework on the imperfect was turned in and we assigned an additional worksheet on this topic: MP p. 47. SPANISH III Today we translated a document from an insurance company-there was no homework assigned. FRI. 11/18/11 SPANISH I Please do activities 8, 9, 10 on p. 56 & 57 of blue text. SPANISH II No homework assigned. SPANISH III All work was done in class today: you must have completed worksheet pages 61 & 62 on direct and indirect object pronouns. Also, the 'lectura' on p. 162 on brown book requires that you answer the ¿comprendiste? questions on p. 163. THUR. 11/17/11 SPANISH I Blue text, p. 57, activity 10. SPANISH II In class work to be continued and finished in class on Monday: brown text, p. 62,63 activities 12 & 13. MON. 11/14/11 SPANISH I Please do activities 6 & 7 on p. 55 of blue text. SPANISH II Please work on activities 10 & 11 on p. 62 of brown text. SPANISH III Please do activities 1, 2, 3, 4 on p. 150 & 151 of brown text. WED. 11/9/11 SPANISH I Today we continued to work on the introduction to U1,E2. We did the following activities, which were to be worked on strictly in class. Blue text, p.52 # 1,2,3; p. 53 # 4,5. SPANISH II Today we had our exam on U5, E3. The exam took us the entire hour and there was no other assignments and/or activities assigned. SPANISH III These two classes did not meet today. |
