   We are working on completing our Patricia MacLachlan novels, Grandfather's Dance, Journey and Baby. We had 3 different groups that read 3 different books. Now, after finishing our books, each group is in the process of creating a project to present to the rest of the class. The presentations will allow students to learn about what the other groups have been reading. Math    We have just completed our unit on money and celebrated with cupcakes from "Miss Lenny's Cupcake Shop"! We are now working on "Division by Stacking" and mastering our multiplication facts. We will also be starting solid geometry and finishing decimal fractions. Writing  Our next writing unit will be on poetry! Students will begin to investigate many different styles of poetry. At the end of our poetry study, we will put the poetry that we have written into our very own class poetry book. Science   We are working on finishing our oceans unit. Students are researching their very own sea creatures. They each were able to chose the animal that they wanted to research and learn about their physical features, habitat, diets, predators and interesting facts. After collecting all their information, students will create PowerPoint presentations for their animals. Social Studies  A new unit is coming soon! So keep checking back for more information.
