Welcome to Grade 6's Classroom Web Page

   Science & ELA

      *********************************************************************************

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

I will be your child's teacher for all ELA subject areas including: reading, language (grammar/vocabulary/spelling), listening/speaking, and writing, as well as science and art.  Please use this web page to find out about classroom announcements, daily homework, test schedules, and project/special assignment information.  If you should ever have any questions about anything happening in our classroom, please send me an email by clicking on my name above, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  I will update this site on a weekly basis, but please note that information is always subject to change, so it's important the students record all information each day in their assignment books.  Thank you for helping to make this school year very enjoyable and productive for everyone.

Sincerely, Miss Rebecca Rayner

Reading Log Schedule

      * See your Reading Log folder for all necessary papers *

* For the last trimester, the students will be required to do at least one nonfiction reading for their reading response sheet.  The students were given the response sheet in which they will respond to this nonfiction reading which is different than the response sheet they have been using up to this point.  Their new response sheet is formatted towards nonfiction texts.  They may do more than one nonfiction if they choose, but one nonfiction must be completed.
