We are beginning our unit on multiplying and dividing decimals.  We will use decimals to find the area of rectangles, parallelograms, and triangles.  We will have a test Friday on the 35 decimal vocabulary words.  Please help your child with their multiplication tables.  Please encourage your child to organize their notebook.  The notebook should be at least a 2 inch binder and have 5 dividers:

Workbooks - 3 workbooks

Notes - 2 burrito books - Decimals and Geometry

Vocabulary - Decimal vocabulary sheets. (35 words)

Homework - Any homework they have other than workbooks.

Returned Work - All work from each quarter is to be kept behind this divider after it has been checked.  At the end of the quarter it will be removed and filed in the classroom.

Your child should have homework every night.  Homework is independent practice on what we covered in class that day.  Please encourage your child to complete their homework as it counts 10 points toward their homework grade.
