Parents,

          Please note that this note covers next week and the following week.  No Spelling next week.

           Thank you for most of the students being here to sing last Saturday!!  They did an awesome job!!  So well, in fact, that we have been asked to do more.  We might even try for 1 Saturday night a month to lead the contemporary service, but we won’t start until Jan.

We have made some decisions for  things in December.  In lieu of a gift exchange, we will be purchasing gifts for a girl and boy through the BCMW adopt a family program.  Please send the $5 you would have spent for an exchange gift to use to purchase the gifts.  If you would like to give more, that would be great.  Please send that money in by Dec. 10th.  We will be going to Wal-Mart to purchase these gifts on Dec. 11th at 12:30.  I need parents to drive and help go with the groups to make purchases.  We will come back to the room and have a “Wrapping Party”.  We will wrap the gifts and have a snack.  Anyone want to volunteer a snack?  We can have our milk or if someone wants to send/bring a drink, let me know.

On Friday, December 18th we will decorate gingerbread houses.  I would like each child to send in $2 to cover the cost of the candy and other supplies.  I would like a few parents to help me with this also.  I also am looking for volunteers to glue them ahead of time. 

We will be singing at Centralia Manor on Dec. 21st at 10:30 AM with first grade.

If anyone is available to volunteer for any of these activities, let me know.

First grade is collecting new hats, coats, gloves, and mittens for Lutheran  Child and Family services, if anyone would like to contribute to that also.  Items need to be turned in by

Dec. 11th.

Dec. 10—$7 (or more) in for BCMW gift and gingerbread houses

Dec. 11—Shopping 12:30 PM; Midterms home

Dec. 18—Make gingerbread houses

Dec. 21—Singing at Centralia Manor 10 AM

Dec. 22– Chapel Buddy lunch; 1 PM Dismissal
