7th grade Keyboarding

and Study Skills!

My main goal this semester is to teach the students to type using all their fingers ~ not just their thumbs and pointers! 

So far they have mastered f, j, u, r, g and h, e, i, k, d, b, n, t, y, s. l, w. o, . and ,. The students will have 2 more quizzes and then it will be the end of the quarter!   Our new letters are v. m. z and x. 

For now ~ there will be much homework that focuses on the letters learned so far.  The homework will get longer - the repetition helps them learn the letters!

FOR STUDY SKILLS ~~~WE WILL BE LEARNING POWERPOINT THIS WEEK!  THE STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO CREATE THEIR OWN POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS AND WILL BE ABLE TO MANIPULATE THE TEXT AND THE PICTURES - TO MAKE THEM FLY IN, ADD SOUNDS AND ADJUST SLIDE COLORS AND DESIGN! 

If they want to review the keys - have them look up the flash cards on line on this website!

IF YOU CAN NOT PRINT YOUR HOMEWORK - SEND IT TO THE ABOVE EMAIL ADDRESS OR PUT IT ON A FLASH DRIVE AND BRING IT IN TO CLASS!  I WILL PRINT IT FOR YOU.
