Tuesday – Journal: Why do you think Scrooge had an immediate connection to Tiny Tim, and was so worried about his fate?  Do you think Tiny Tim is special?  Why/Why not?

Wednesday – Journal:  Why does Mrs. Cratchit refuse to toast Scrooge?  How would you feel in her place?  Be specific.

Thursday – Journal:  Would you help Scrooge out the way Marley did?  Why/Why not?

Monday – Journal: Free Write

Tuesday – Journal: Write two paragraphs describing your hair. Its color, and they way it is styled or cut.

Wednesday – Journal: Write tow paragraphs describing your eyes. What color and what shape are they? Do your eyelashes and eyebrows help accentuate them in any way? Be specific.

Thursday – Journal: Write two paragraphs discussing something that happened in the news this week. Give your opinion and tell why you thought it was important.

Monday – Journal: write two paragraphs explaining what makes a strong opening memorable. Start by writing down an excerpt from a novel. Be sure to include the title, and author.

Tuesday – Journal: write two paragraphs explaining your favorite dessert. Be specific and tickle as many of the senses as possible.

Wednesday – Journal: write two paragraphs explaining what your bedroom looks like, or what you would like it to look like. Paint a vivid picture so that people can really imagine what you are describing.

Thursday – Study for tomorrow's test. Review study guide and flash cards.
