Using a small box, create a diorama showing your assigned tribe’s house – include the type of environment your tribe would have lived (i.e. near water, woods). Try to use natural materials. Use your incredible imaginations and fabulous creativity. On a separate piece of paper, please include the following information. Remember to use complete sentences and do this in your best cursive writing. Region: What part of North America would your tribe be located? What are the characteristics of this region? For example, are there mountains, woods, an ocean or a desert where your tribe lives? What was the climate like – hot and dry, cold and wet? Food: What types of food did your tribe eat? How did they get their food? (hunting, gathering, farming) Shelter: What type of home did the members of your tribe live in – what was it called? What was the home made of? Were these temporary or permanent homes? Interesting Fact: What facts or interesting piece of information have you discovered about your tribe? This could include ceremonies and/or customs.
