Our school Theme: "Blast Off into Learning!"

Important dates:  

March 5th Please be sure you have sent in your white pillowcases for our ponchos.  Also, be sure we have your family art so we can hang it up.  This is part of our decorations for Multicultural Night. Please join us on March 11th for a night full of fun.  More info will be coming.

March 17th Early Release Day

March 18th Dictionary Day - Please send back your paper so we will know how many people will be attending either the breakfast or 11:00 session.  See you then!

See list of websites that you can use at home if you have internet access.  I have resent your username and password that you will need for the Pearsonsuccess site.  I have added more activities for you to do at home.

Please continue working on areas that we marked on the report card.  Below are some areas  a lot of our students need some work on.

We are hitting all areas hard now to be sure everyone meets the needed goals.  Please be sure you are reading and signing the log each night.  I have been pulling your children and asking them questions about the book they read or that was read to them.  

Work on high frequency words.

Your child should be drawing a picture with details, a setting, etc.  Please work on drawing if your child is still drawing stick people or not adding anything else to their pictures.

They should also be writing a least one sentence and hopefully more than one sentence.  It is still ok to use sound spelling, but you should be able to read most of what they have written even if it is not spelled correctly.

Work on recognizing, writing and counting objects  for numbers up to 30 or higher.  The higher they can go the better off they will be in first grade.

"Toad-ally" Awesome Behavior

Our new and improved behavior plan is doing well.  Your children like the point system.  We like the system since it does give children that chance to make changes to their day.

Rules:        

 1.Listen when the teacher is talking.

2.Raise your hand to be recognized to talk.

3.Keep your hands, feet, and other objects to yourself.

4.Be a good friend.

5. Use good manners.

Enhancement Schedule:

Monday - Art

Tuesday - Music/ computer lab

Wednesday - Media

Thursday - Remediation day

Friday - PE

       Lunch schedule:  12:05-12:40
