This is for the week(s) of: April 14-20. SOL Objective 7a: Know that: 1) After WWII, Europe and most of the world was in ruins. 2) After WWII, Europe (Germany) and Berlin were divided. 3) The U.S. took a major role in rebuilding Europe (Marshall Plan). 4) After the war, Japan was controlled by the US and rebuilt. 5) The United Nations was developed to keep peace. 6) The US economy expanded after WWII. The Race for the States! has been a success. Almost all students can identify and find all 50 states on a map. However, there are still a handful who are not there yet. They need to continue studying until they get them complete. 2. We have begun working on 19 important cities across the U.S. We have begun part one for Race for the Cities whereby students have to identify the major cities on a map. Most have completed this already. We are now working on why each city is important. The next Race for the Cities will be a combination of both aspects. 3. Activities for this week(s): We will use board notes to study for this test. Test will be on Monday, April 20. |
