Dear Readers and Writers,

As we reach the half way mark in the month of November, I am reminded of how much we've learned so far.  We've practiced TDEC (Topic sentence, Details, Examples of each detail, and Conclusion), indenting, complete sentences and sequencing each day in our journals.  Great writers always create many drafts of their writing.  For this reason it is extremely important to edit your written work for corrections.  Read your piece in a 6 inch voice, turn and share with a friend and re-read once more, making corrections each time. 

We are reaching the end of our unit in math on surveys, collecting data, tally charts, picture graphs and bar graphs.  Graphs are a great way to read data quickly.  Make sure you are neat when filling out a picture or bar graph.  Our math test is on Wednesday, November 17th. 

I am proud of all your hard work!  Keep up the awesome effort.    Don't forget to READ, READ, READ!!! Keep working on those math facts!!
