Classroom Procedures and Expectations for math: Classwork: During class, all students are expected to work and try their best. If there are any questions concerning the assignment then please ask. Do NOT give up and stop trying because it may get hard. Stay focused and you will get it.Homework: You will have homework every night. Most cases the homework will be an extention of what we are working on in class. If you do not turn in homework you will lose 5 homework points. It is essential that homework be completed for practice and success in math this year. Multiplication sets: Sets are due at the beginning of the class. No late sets will be accepted because you have 7 days to do the work. I am giving each and every child the opportunity to improve your mulitiplication score with the sets. Fourth grade is the best because we get to learn all about North Carolina History. I have been teaching at Koontz Elementary since they opened the school in 2006. This year I only teach Math, Science and Technology and Mrs. Leak teaches the Language Arts, Writing, and Social Studies. We are a great team and we have a lot of fun learning! I live in China Grove with my husband and 2 children. Nicole is in 10th grade at Carson High. Matt is in 6th grade at China Grove Middle School. Mr. Bumgarner (Eddie) may pop in the classroom from time to time to say hello, so be ready! I have 2 step- children; Holly who is 21 and Nick who is 25. I also have 2 grandsons; Logan (1 year old) and Chris (4 years old). I also have 2 brothers that live in other states with their families, but my mom and step dad live here in Kannapolis. My dad and step mom live in Tennessee near my grandmother. So most of my family lives away from here. I love to read, write in my journal and scrapbook. Any free time that I have you will find me reading or writing in my journal. If I have all day then I will be scrapbooking. Math is my favorite subject, but most of you already know that. I love my job and teaching is the best thing to do in the WORLD! Here are a few things about me, and you can drop me an email to tell me a little about yourself. Take care. Love, Mrs. Bumgarner ![]() | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
